Broad IT provides—and this role directly coordinates—end-user support of more than 3000 laptops, desktop systems (Windows and Mac) across Broad’s several buildings as well as telephones, printing, and conference room A/V, and a walk-up service desk. The work performed by a Desktop Support Specialist varies from day to day and as such the individual will need to be able to multitask often to ensure the work gets processed and the incident closure rate remains high.Conference Room Maintenance - Checking on each of our conference room AV systems on a monthly basis and making sure they are fully functioning. They would be expected to troubleshoot basic, entry level issues during maintenance.AV Inventory - Maintaining our equipment and storage space and helping to track our inventory.AV Incidents - Day to day they would be responsible for resolving basic AV incidents and troubleshooting issues in conference rooms, with video conferencing software (Zoom or Google Meet), and potentially digital signage systems.AV Events - Assist with the setup between our end users and our AV systems for typical hybrid AV event/meeting requests virtually or in our conference rooms.
