The Pheasant is hiring for several back of house positions - Line Cook, Prep Cook, and Dishwashers.

Applicants should possess a strong interest in seasonally driven menu items as well an overall passion for cooking. Experience with butchery/breaking down fish & meat a strong plus.

We are looking for individuals that:

are able to read and follow recipes, as well as follow directions and lists outlined by our Executive chef

understand and follow the proper department of health food safety policies

are punctual

can communicate effectively in English

maintain a positive and professional attitude with coworkers

can work in a fast-paced and stressful environment without losing composure

have the ability to stand while working for long periods of time

can lift up to 50 lbs.

Ideal Candidates Have:

1 year or more of experience in a full-service, high volume restaurant as a line cook or other relevant position

Advanced knife stills and ingredient knowledge

Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with co-workers and management personnel and work well with others in a team environment

Demonstrate a knowledge of and passion for high quality food and beverage.

Ability to perform job functions with attention to details, speed, and accuracy

Ability to prioritize, organize, work and follow through with assigned tasks.

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and work well under the pressure of meeting production schedules and timeliness of food service

Ability to handle multiple tasks at one time while maintaining a high level of professionalism

Ability to work well with others in a team environment

Ability to maintain a clean, neat and organized work environment

These positions report directly to Executive Chef, Toby T. Hill

The Pheasant is a New American farm-to-table restaurant set inside an iconic 250 year old farmhouse on historic Old Kings Highway in Dennis Village on Cape Cod. Our restaurant features local craft beers on draft, handcrafted cocktails, a full wine list and seasonally driven, locally sourced and creative menu.
