Release Manager12 month contract (extensions expected).Onsite work required in Chelsea, MAThis position would be expected to follow a hybrid model of reporting to work that combines in-office workdays and work from home days as needed.Position Summary:Ettain Group is seeking a Release Manager to join the IT Service Management organization of one of our biggest clients. The Release Manager will own the Release Management lifecycle which includes planning, scheduling, coordinating and the management of releases across the Enterprise. With a focus on coordinating various aspects of production and projects into a single integrated process framework, the Release Manager will be responsible for ensuring that resources, timelines and the overall quality of the process are all considered and accounted for.The Incumbent must have in-depth knowledge and hands-on experience (3-5 years) developing and establishing Release Management procedures and processes in an enterprise environmentPosition Responsibilities (including but not limited to):

  • Establish Release Management procedures and processes
  • Oversee release management process
  • Collaborate and communicate with development managers, project managers, Change Management, and other teams.
  • Review incoming Release Management requests for completeness.
  • Define, create, and maintain knowledge documents pertaining to Release Management delivery plans.
  • Identify and manage risks and resolve issues that affect release scope, schedule, and quality.
  • Develop common strategies for release governance.
  • Develop and update clearly defined Release Management process documents, KPIs, training material and knowledge articles
  • Provide training of the Release management process to others
  • Facilitate cross functional communication.
  • Monitor delivery plans and associated tasks through ServiceNow reporting and dashboards.
  • Provide Release Management reporting and updates to senior management.
  • Manage, publish, and track a release calendar.
  • Measure release cadence and effectiveness to improve and increase effectiveness through use of release related performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Create common standards for release formats, release playbooks and release decision making.
  • Forecast demand for release resources and identify opportunities for greater efficiency
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 3-5 years in-depth experience developing Release Management procedures and processes in an enterprise environment
  • Highly organized with a thoughtful, methodical approach but without being handcuffed by process or unduly slow and bureaucratic.
  • Bachelor s degree in computer science or information technology or equivalent experience
  • Strong creative, communication, and collaboration skills
  • Demonstrates an excellent level of written and verbal communication skills
  • Must be a passionate team player
  • Interpersonal skills such as facilitation, negotiation and working with a variety of internal stakeholders.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to be flexible, adaptable and learn new concepts quickly
  • Experience building delivery templates and methodology
  • Application implementation experience
  • Experience with one or more of the following preferred: technology/software/SAAS concepts, custom software development processes and methodologies (including running Agile projects), technology project management and governance
  • ServiceNow and MS O365 experience preferred
  • ITIL V3/V4 certification
