Position: QA Analyst for GeniSys

Duration: 12 months

Location: Chelsea, MA

Summary:The Executive Office of Administration and Finance IT (A&F IT) has an application development team to maintain and enhance tax applications for the Department of Revenue. A&F IT is looking for a QA analyst to join this GeniSys team in Business Applications Bureau. The candidate should be able to:

Major Responsibilities:
  • Understand process design and technical requirements documentation.
  • Work both independently and within a project team to design, develop and deliver on test plans for new and existing functionality.
  • Write and execute clear, concise, and comprehensive use cases and test plans.
  • Design and execute regression test plans on an ongoing basis in response to frequent and rapid changes.
  • Analyze and build data for test, triage defects to draw conclusions, define issues and make appropriate recommendations.
  • Act as a reliable source for early feedback on new functionality and feature changes.
  • Be flexible and adaptable in a fast-paced changing environment and juggle changing priorities
  • Work with SQL server databases

Experience Required:
  • 5+ years of Software testing experience
  • Proficient in SQL Server database
  • Ability to articulate and document defects and/or issues in a clear and detailed manner
  • Work well with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

  • Ability to adopt to new tools and processes
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills with the ability to communicate at all levels of the organization.
  • Superior organizational skills, self-driven with attention to detail and follow-through on tasks
  • Demonstrated flexibility to meet timelines generally associated with technical test schedules
  • Ability to multitask during an iterative system development lifecycle
