- Strong working knowledge on Microsoft Windows Server, Active Directory, Exchange, IIS, and Server Virtualization as well as Windows 10, SCCM and software packaging experience.
- Good understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, network routing, and switching.
- Knowledge of backup software preferably related to NetApp storage devices.
- Experience in environments with network services appliances such as WAN accelerators, load balancers, and firewalls preferred.
- Prior experience in optimizing infrastructure components (OS, storage, virtualization, and network) to support a dynamic application environment.
- Familiarity with SQL administration.
- Should be able to quickly identify the root cause and resolve critical issues by looking across multiple layers (storage, OS, network, virtualization, and application / DB stack).
- Strong skills in documenting issues and outcomes
- Strong team player with a high degree of self-motivation and the ability to manage additional technical resources to meet the project requirements.
- Must take initiative and be capable of taking ownership of issues, resolve them in a timely manner and effectively communicate resolutions to the IT team.
- Experience leading projects and process improvements.
- Position will occasionally require working more than 35 hours in the office per week to perform the essential duties and being available to perform maintenance during non-business hours and over weekends.
- May be required to be on-call in case of problems outside of normal business hours.
- Technical knowledge of IT tools including SCCM, Active Directory, Exchange, SQL, iManage DMS and preferred.
- Knowledge of Avaya VOIP telephone system preferred.
- Must have strong interpersonal skills to communicate effectively in person, by e-mail and by telephone.
- Ability to work with multiple projects, under tight deadlines required, performing the essential duties of the position with time constraints and interruptions.
- Occasional travel to the Firm’s Boston office and Disaster Recovery location in Marlboro, MA.
- Should have solid AD
- Should have an understanding of firewalls
- Should have some knowledge of packaging and SCCM
- Must be willing to do HelpDesk as this person is responsible for escalated calls.
