You like getting your hands dirty and want to be the one disassembling a problem to find out what is broken and how to fix it. You also have:- Bachelor of Science degree in Manufacturing, Lean, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent with a minimum of 10-year experience
- Excellent project management skills and repeated, demonstrated ability to handle multiple projects at once
- Direct experience in leading & executing kaizen events (selecting, planning, implementing and follow up).
- Direct experience in building & training continuous improvement teams from the ground up.
- Ability to deliver large capital projects (in excess of $1-million USD) on quality, cost and time
- Outstanding communication skills and proven ability to set a vision and march a team to that vision.
- Great analytical and problem-solving skills, emphasizing a "hands on" approach
- Demonstrated and proven track record for managing projects delivering savings in a highly matrix environment
- Consistently deliver highly complex productivity projects in excess of $500K USD.
- He/she will be responsible for leading deep-dive data analysis sessions to direct future work priorities.
- Drive and implement the Stanley Production System/Lean Manufacturing transformation for the site.
- Create/develop a continuous improve team. Manage an annual kaizen schedule to support business and customer demand. Develop and deliver quantifiable and sustainable continuous improvement metrics/annual goals.
- Support and facilitate ongoing growth and cost reduction by conducting Kaizen Events, Value Stream Mapping Events, brainstorming sessions Project Management activities and Lean training.
- Maintain the productivity database. Track progress, identify/fill gaps and drive results to meet the plants annual productivity commitment.
- Demonstrate mastery of lean principles and concepts and the ability to effectively communicate and mentor, coach and lead others.
- Applies a solid technical expertise to direct, troubleshoot and insure internal process effectiveness
- Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate and mentor, coach and lead others
- Project Management - Ability to balance multiple projects and lead several initiatives in key product manufacturing areas: Cost reduction, process optimization, quality improvement, and capacity improvements
- Initiates and implements cost reduction programs related to process methods and technology
- Works very closely with the Operations Team to ensure buy in and sustainability
