Our Direct client is seeking for Big Data Architect to work in their Holliston, MA OR Remote (Must be currently located in the US). This is a long term contract opportunity The candidate must have
at least 10 years of experience expanding and optimizing data and data pipeline architecture, as well as optimizing data flow and collection for cross functional teams. Experience with Cloud ecosystem and leading-edge cloud emerging technologies is required. The client will hire over a couple of Technical Video Assessments and will be 100% Remote after Covid19 (Consultant should be located in the US – No Offshore resources will be considered) We can work on C2C (ALL VISAS WELCOME) or W2 Job Description: We are looking for a Data Engineer/Architect to join our growing Data platform team. The hire will be responsible for expanding and optimizing data and data pipeline architecture, as well as optimizing data flow and collection for cross functional teams. The Data Architect will support developers, database architects, data analysts and data scientists on data initiatives and will ensure optimal data delivery architecture is consistent throughout ongoing projects. They must be self-directed and comfortable supporting the data needs of multiple teams, systems, and products. The right candidate will be excited by the prospect of optimizing or even re-designing data architecture to support our next generation of platform and data initiatives. Key Responsibilities:- Drive detailed and evolutionary designs and architectures of complex solutions involving at following domains within a solution: Application, Infrastructure, Security,
- Lead the definition and communication of IT architecture and solutions for IT Leaders and development teams.
- Design and architect solutions in the areas of DevOps, Security, Governance, CI/CD, and/or Containerization
- Monitor and manage implementation to ensure high quality and alignment with defined requirements
- Own complete life cycle of delivery including architecture, design, development, test, and document integration solutions, custom development, and data migration elements of business applications
- Project experience implementing core infrastructure, networking and cloud-based services for business teams or consumers
- Deep product knowledge and understanding of product features including IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS Solutions
- High Availability and Disaster Recovery principles, patterns, and usage
- Experience with Cloud ecosystem and leading-edge cloud emerging technologies
- Experience with networking principles and technologies (DNS, Load Balancers, Reverse Proxies)
- Automation experience with CloudFormation, Resource Manager, Puppet, Chef, Ansible
- Container experience with Docker, Vagrant, Kubernetes, etc.
- Experience developing solutions and passion for getting hands dirty with code/scripting (e.g, python, java, c#, .NET, Node.js)Hands-on experience writing scripts in Bash, Python, PowerShell or similar
- Streamline deployment automation and elastic sizing of environments for multi-tenant platforms.
- Resolve complex Linux and Windows operating systems administration issues.
- Experience with AWS Well-Architected Framework, AWS IAM and Security Groups/ACLs, AWS CloudFormation, AWS CloudTrail, AWS Control Tower, AWS Config, Lambda, Route 53, VPC, S3, SQS, SNS, RDS
- Hands-on experience leading the design, development, and deployment of business software at scale or current hands on technology infrastructure, network, compute, storage, and virtualization experience
- Infrastructure automation through DevOps scripting (E.g. shell, Python, Ruby, PowerShell)
- Strong practical Linux and Windows-based systems administration skills in a Cloud or Virtualized environment
- Experience maintaining Cloudera Hadoop infrastructure such as HDFS, YARN, Spark, Impala, and edge nodes
- Experience with Apache Nifi, Apache Kafka and Talend for data ingestion
- Experience with Apache Airflow for scheduling / job orchestration
- Experience with developing Cloud-based Big Data solutions on AWS or Azure
- Experience with Cloud Data Platforms like Snowflake or Databricks
- Experience analytics tools \ platforms like Dataiku, Elasticsearch
- Experience with Data Federation or Virtualization technologies
- Experience in development on other application types (Web applications, batch, or streaming)
