Responsibilities of the Oracle DBA:- Provide expert advice and direction in database/Oracle Applications technologies
- Responsible for database operations, performance and monitoring of various versions of Oracle databases, database tools, and services
- Work with BAs and development staff to develop database environments, respond to and resolve production issues, and maintain change control and testing processes
- Follow database standards and procedures to optimize database architectures, reliability, and performance for all corporate applications environments
- Monitor and report metrics related to performance, availability, and other SLA measures
- At least 6 years of overall IT experience
- At least 5 years of experience managing mission-critical Oracle Applications and DW environments and Oracle databases
- Experience managing Oracle Applications R12 and 11i
- Hands-on experience managing Oracle databases, both RAC and non-RAC
