SQA Engineer

Location: Lawrence, MA (1st week on site for training); remote after

Duration: 6-12 month contract + conversion

Responsibilities:

Perform release testing on new software.

o Test and verify each new software release.

o Test and verify each new installer release.

o Test and verify each new OS images for embedded products.

Execute testing efforts utilizing best practices in software testing agile methodologies.

Work with field scientists for post release quality issues; reproduce or document issue for software fix

Work with the software team and product development to develop test strategy.

Responsible for designing, development and executing tests. Document defects for resolution.

Continuously log, verify and track software defects.

Implement unit tests and automated testing frameworks for new and existing features.

Work closely with software team at various stages of product development.

Maintain computer systems, procedures, and records used in SQA

Qualifications:

BS in Engineering or related discipline

2-5 years work experience in SQA

Excellent attention to detail, strong communication skills, and solid computer skills

Good writing skills for formal documentation

Ability to work well in a team environment

Ability to handle instruments and operate equipment a plus
