Solidus is searching for an Electrical Engineer.

The successful candidate will join a group that develops technology solutions that enhance the efficiency and resiliency of both tactical and domestic energy systems. This includes developing advanced architectures and system designs to improve the resiliency of power grids, developing new control techniques for microgrids and distributed energy resources, and developing hardware and real-time simulation testbeds.

Required Skills: - ship and the ability to obtain a DoD Secret Clearance - BS in Electrical Engineering - Experience performing design and development/testing of microgrids and the usage of Microchip PIC architecture, including firmware development as well as PC board layout - Familiarity operating high power lab equipment - Experience prototyping control software - Experience designing high power electrical systems for long term testing including thermal considerations - Experience in the areas of rotating machinery experience

5 years of experience in the following: - Circuit Architectures and Algorithms - Device Layout - Electrical/Electronics - Analog - Electrical/Electronics - Digital - Electrical/Electronics - Power - Electronic Test Equipment - General Electronics Expertise (Analog and Digital) - New Circuit Characterization and Qualification - New Circuit Debug

Preferred Skills: - Familiarity with high level languages used for control scripting is a plus.
