Solidus is searching for an FPGA Engineer.

The successful candidate will join a group that develops technology solutions for defense-related Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) missions and will provide FPGA support of current programs executing hardware prototype. The work emphasizes RF sensing, signal processing, target feature exploitation, and prototype system development for complicated operating environments.

Required Skills: - US Citizenship and the ability to obtain a DoD Clearance, Active Secret Preferred - MS+5 years of experience - The Software Engineer is required to perform FPGA development work for an airborne radar sensor - Coordinating processor timing, antenna timing, waveform generation, data capture and formatting, and overall command and control of the various system components. - Overall knowledge of radar systems including beam forming and pulse compression is strongly preferred.

5 years experience with the following: Xilinx FPGA Software/Algorithm Development Active and Passive RF Sensing; Threat Modeling; Platform Dynamics Modeling Radar Systems Architecture Software Documentation FPGA Programming Software Design/Development Advanced Signal Processing, Receiver/Transmitter Design, Radar Architectures Hardware and Software Integration Phased Array Radar Systems

Preferred Skills: - The design will conform to DoD open architecture standards - Flexibility to work across multiple phases of a program from data collection and verification to a real-time implementation. - The ability to implement a MATLAB or Python specification on an FPGA.
