Solidus is searching for an Embedded Engineer.
The successful candidate will join a group that leads efforts in spectrum operations to develop multi-function RF systems and technologies. The work is focused on robust and special communications, array-based communications signal processing, and communications-related sensing.Responsibilities: - Unit level FPGA IP design - Chip level integration of IP designs, hard macros, and interface logic - Simulation and verification of Unit and Chip level designs - System-on-chip (SoC) integration working with a real-time software developer - Integration of FPGA into hardware system including debugging, lab validation, and field testingRequired: - BS or MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related field - Experience with FPGA and SoC design using VHDL or Verilog. (VHDL preferred) - Experience with design flow for Xilinx or Intel FPGAs. (Xilinx preferred) - Xilinx RFSoC experience - Experience with simulation tools such as ModelSim/Questa - Proficient with timing closure for FPGA designs - Proficient with chip-level debugging tools such as Chipscope/Signal Tap - Experience with Digital Circuit Design - Experience with New Circuit Design, Testing and EvalutionPreferred: - Experience with benchtop debugging of digital systems - Familiarity with the use of logic analyzers, digital oscilloscopes - Experience with communication protocols such as USB, Ethernet, PCIe, I2C, SPI - Familiarity with board design practices - Proficient with Xilinx SoC platforms - Proficient with FPGA design entry (VHDL) - Proficient with interfacing FPGA to external devices (high-speed memory, ethernet, ADC/DAC, etc) - Experience with Digital Signal Processing - Experience with Circuit Architectures and Algorithms - Experience with RF systems - Experience with Software Documentation - Experience with scripting languages (e.g. Python) - Proficient with configuration management tools (e.g. git, SVN, etc)Job: 4026Applicants selected must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
