Solidus is searching for a Software Engineer.

Candidate will join a team that provides optical concept development, optical design and analysis, optical fabrication and procurement, and optical assembly, alignment, and test. Successful individual will have the skills to support the development of freeform optical design software, and additionally, will have specialized knowledge in algorithm development for space situational awareness applications. The engineer will work closely with a principal investigator to take a proven software to the next level of functionality and flexibility. Engineer will write the code to add capability and improve efficiency. They will also work with a principal investigator to develop data processing algorithms related to space situational awareness applications. Individual will need to possess and leverage specialized knowledge in this domain to execute such tasks effectively.

Requirements - Active Top Secret Clearance - Bachelor's Degree plus 8 years' relevant experience

Required Experience - Significant experience with software development in C and/or C including MPI or other schemes for controlling parallel processing, software source code control, and automated unit testing and bug tracking - Optimization and numerical computation packages from C and/or C - Developing efficient C and/or C software and interfaces between multiple applications for expediting the processing of image data - Software documentation - Software/Algorithm Development

Additionally Desired - Interfacing with optical design applications i.e., Code V, Zemax - MATLAB image processing algorithms - Grid computing
