Solidus is searching for an Embedded Systems Administrator who maintains operation of multi-user computer systems, including coordination of infrastructure and cloud responsibilities. Develops and designs core operating system builds.

Responsibilities: - Responsible for coding, virtualization, and automation of systems. - Sets up administrator and service accounts, maintains an active directory of users and system documentation, tunes system performance, installs system-wide software, and allocates mass storage space. - Assesses and resolves user access problems related to security controls to minimize business impact and risk exposure. - Identifies and evaluates vendor products and establishes vendor monitoring and tracking processes. - Performs capacity planning and monitors/tunes systems. - Recommends appropriate platforms for purchase, coordinates installation, and provides backup recovery. - Serves as a point of escalation for major incidents that are unresolved at the helpdesk level. - Develops and monitors policies and standards for allocation related to the use of computing resources. - May draft general IT communications to end-users including notifications of outages/downtimes. - May serve as the primary liaison for mergers, acquisitions, and divestiture activities as it relates to user access, network, security, and support. - Utilize vulnerability reporting tools and assisting Group-based Information Technology (IT) teams in remediation activities - Manifest technical depth with multiple Operating Systems (OS) (Windows, Mac, Linux) - Maintain frequent contact with multiple IT support teams and end users related to compliance, problem resolution, and associated services - Develop and provide security metrics to track systems' status, vulnerabilities, risks, and efforts to effect process or system improvements - Review program reports, and provide remediation support to the technical staff as needed - Coordinate with other security departments and contractors on security-related initiatives and programs

Must Have 5 Years Experience with: - FlexLM - Operating System (OS) platforms (Linux, Mac, Windows) - Vulnerability - IBM BigFix - Tenable's Security Center - System Administration

Required Skills: - U.S. Citizen and able to obtain a Security Clearance. Active Secret preferred - A.S. or B.S. degree with at least 5 years experience - Excellent customer service skills and exceptional customer facing skills - Excellent communication (both oral and writing) and organizational skills - Demonstrated proficiency and hands-on experience with Tenable's Security Center, IBM BigFix, and vulnerability remediation across multiple Operating System (OS) platforms to include Linux, Mac and Windows - Working knowledge of IT security best practices as well as a high degree of troubleshooting skills to quickly diagnose and resolve issues - Demonstrated proficiency and hands-on experience with FlexLM licensing - Ability to work analytically in a problem-solving environment while learning new technologies and disciplines quickly - Ability to function effectively in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously, prioritize and meet deadlines - Ability to work with members of other teams and staff to achieve department and organizational goals - Developing, debugging, and executing software in a Windows, Mac and Linux environment

Preferred Skills: - IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL) Foundations Certification - Scripting experience as well as experience with task automation. (e.g. server installation, patch management, configuration)
