Solidus is searching for a System Administrator to maintain, upgrade and manage general purpose computing and IT networks. This individual will be working directly with the research staff to satisfy their needs when required and will be their first point of contact when issues occur. The team you will be supporting is involved in research and system engineering/application efforts centered on enhancing the capacity and the flexibility of future generations of communications satellites for the US Government.
Responsibilities: - Desktop work including imaging, software installs, printer maintenance, troubleshooting and deployment. - Communication and resourcefulness is a necessary skill for this role. - Able to diagnose and resolve problems quickly. Your goal will be to ensure that our technology infrastructure runs smoothly and that the engineers can accomplish their desired tasks. - Reviewing and understanding all IT policies and ensuring the groups computing resources are in compliance with these policies.Required skills: - ship and an Active DoD Secret Clearance - BS degree in relevant area and minimum of 5 years of experience with the below. - Configure and Manage Centralized Logging and Audit Capabilities - Enterprise Backup Solutions - Hardware; Intel/AMD, Cisco, Sun/Oracle, Dell, Apple, EMC, NetApp - Macintosh and iOS platform - MS Active Directory, LDAP - SCCM, and Active Directory - Strong Backup Experience and Proven Ability to Protect Mission Critical Data - System Administration - Technologies including DNS, DHCP, Proxy and Load Balancing - UNIX platform, OSX, Cisco IOS - Virtualization Technologies to include VM management, Snapshots, SANs and iSCSI Storage - Windows Patch Management, Windows Server and Windows Server Platform - VMWare ESXi and Associated Management Systems (preferred)Req ID:4085Applicants selected must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
