Solidus is searching for an Embedded Software Engineer to join a group that develops, builds, and operates prototype space and airborne lasercom terminals.
Required: - U.S. Citizen and active Secret Security Clearance; Top Secret preferred - Bachelor's Degree- 2 years of experience with the following: Bash Development experience on a Linux platform Python Software Architecture XML Revision Control Software such as GIT, SVN, Maven or Gradle, GITlab, Make/Autotools- 5 years of experience with the following: C/C, Java, Python, Bash, SQL, Java Script / HTML / CSS, Matlab Object Oriented Software Design and Development Software Algorithms Software Design/Development Multithreaded and Multiprocessor Applications Software Testing- Must possess good communications skills: willingness to listen to the needs of engineers and the ability to articulate solutions to engineers in other disciplines who possess little understanding of embedded software systems. - Must be able to work on a broad range on problems. Experience developing software for communication systems through the complete life-cycle from requirements analysis, design, implementation, integration and support is highly desired. - C/C and Java software development in a UNIX-based environment; experience with principles of communication.Preferred: - Top Secret Clearance- Minimum 2 years experience with the following: Real-Time Software/Hardware Software Documentation Embedded Software GUI Development Integration of Java/C/C/other in Matlab/Simulink JavaScript Development JSON Mex Interface to C/C Automated Test Software- Experience in algorithm development, processing large datasets, distributed systems and test automation are pluses.
