Solidus is searching for Embedded Software Engineer who will develop customized VHDL code which must execute advanced signal processing algorithms at rates beyond those of standard commercial practices. This means the VHDL developer must be intimately familiar with the architectures and tools used for code development.

The tools used by the group include the ModelSim (a VHDL Verilog simulator), ISE (a synthesis tool for Xilinx FPGAs), Quartus (an FPGA synthesis tool for Altera FPGAs), and Synopsis Simplify (a synthesis tool for other FPGAs).

Demonstration of strong communication skills, both oral and written, is required. The candidate must be willing to work in a team environment and must be able to work side by side with hardware developers, RF engineers, mechanical designers, and others.

The engineer will perform two primary functions: 1) Write VHDL code to specifications provided by Lincoln Staff developing and maintaining satellite terminals and data collection systems and 2) Provide support to the staff to resolve issues identified during the integration and testing process. These activities are critical to the success of development efforts on multiple ongoing programs.

Required Skills: - U.S. Citizen and able to obtain a Security Clearance. Active Secret preferred - M.S degree

Preferred Skills: - Real-Time Embedded Systems (ROS, VxWorks, Xenomai, Linux) - JavaScript Development - Experience with communication theory and communication system design
