Solidus is searching for a Network Protocols Software Engineer.

The successful candidate will join a group that specializes in advanced network and communications systems development, with a focus on tactical mobile, military airborne networks of the future. The group uses a combination of technical analysis, modeling, simulation, emulation, prototype development, and flight evaluation to develop new communication systems and evaluate and predict their performance under expected conditions.

The candidate's main responsibility will be developing networking protocols for software.

Required Skills: - US Citizenship and the ability to obtain a DoD Clearance - BS in relevant discipline - Minimum 5 years relevant experience - Extensive knowledge of wireless communications and IP networking - Experience developing for a Linux environment - Developing software-based automation for monitoring, controlling and debugging flight hardware such as IMUs and radios - High-level knowledge of hardware integration, installation and maintenance

Minimum of 5 years experience required in the following: - Networking Applications and Protocols: TCP/IP, DNS, NTP, DHCP, SSH, FTP and HTTP/S - C/C Programming - Development experience on a Linux platform - GIT/GITHUB - Object Oriented Software Design and Development - Python Programming/Scripting - Software development of networking protocols - Hardware and Software Integration - Systems Integration - Software programming skills, including a significant percentage of the following: C/C, Python, MATLAB - Data analysis (to characterize and debug performance of hardware-based systems). - Knowledge and experience with networking protocols

Preferred Skills: - Experience operating and maintaining field test infrastructure, especially avionics and communications systems - Working knowledge of ASTI-Internal Communications Systems , ARINC distribution systems and GPS devices - Working knowledge of LN100, LTN-92, MIL-STD-1553 and ARINC-429 protocols - Ability to have or maintain a Class III FAA medical certificate - Knowledge and experience of ISSO Duties with COMSEC Clearance
