Description The Manager of Data Center Operations will lead a team of IT professionals responsible for maintaining global production data centers and disaster recovery sites comprised of virtual and physical Windows/Linux servers. The team is also responsible for following security best practices, SAN storage, day to day operations and disaster recovery testing.Primary responsibilities include:• Day to day data center operations, delegating work assignments with SLAs and managing quarterly IT projects that align with UKG's business objectives• Fundamental understanding of VMware, Windows, Linux and SAN technology• Security first approach: Identifying security vulnerabilities, the need for patches/upgrades, and opportunities for improvement• Life cycle management and proposing solutions that align with UKGs strategic objectives• Responsible for leading, mentoring and development plans for colleagues; coordinate with global teams and ensure team follows the follow the sun model; standardize IT practices, Inventory, Capacity planning, and Reporting; participate DR related testing activities• Ensure critical workloads are replicated properly to DR site in Montreal using Nimble replication, SRM and Zerto; maintain vendor relationships and assist with negotiating contracts• Responsible for providing support in a 24X7 environment; manage Pager Duty on Call rotation
Qualifications Minimum Required Qualifications• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems or related IT field; equivalency considered• 3 years' experience in data center management; required• Must have excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills; required• Must have strong organizational, decision making and problem-solving skills.
