Position: R&D Engineer - Product Development Apex Job ID: 1246739 Location: Remote - Mansfield, MA Rate: TBD, based on experience Duration: 4 months - Summer Internship Position Description: Under the direction of the Manager of R&D, this Summer Internship will be primarily supporting maintenance of business projects (MOB) with some potential support on New Product Development (NPD) projects. This position will have emphasis on executing against all requirements of a Design History File (DHF) including creating all product development documentation and testing the requirements of the design. The individual will experience all aspects of the Change Development Process (CDP) as well as work with remote teams to execute on projects. This individual will experience collaboration between the Research and Development group, and Sales and Marketing, Manufacturing, Quality, Regulatory Affairs, Planning/Logistics, Packaging/Labeling and Outside Partners. Required Skills:
Compiling technical documentation including protocols, reports, etc. Contributing to the R&D team's Change Development Process of a product/project. Medical Device Design Control Mechanical Testing Desired Skills (not required but candidate will have exposure to these skills in this role): Minitab - basic statistical analysis Communication both written and oral Computer Aided Design CAD with SolidWorks Rapid Proto typing Understanding the Medical Device Design Control Laboratory best practices - Good Documentation Practice (GDP) Additional Requirements: Courses, technical skills/applications or knowledge recommended for this role: Technical Writing Engineering Design Mechanics of Materials Additional Benefits: For this opportunity, you will also be eligible for benefits through Apex for the contract period, 401K, medical/health benefits options, a W2 hourly rate, weekly pay, and direct deposit!
