About the role: We are looking for an IT Solutions Architect who will be a key leader in our Sales Enablement and commercial architecture space, with immediate focus on our pricing & contracting business capabilities. This role will report directly into the IT Director, Sales Enablement. This IT Solutions Architect will be responsible for providing the architectural vision and influencing the direction of our Sales Enablement technologies, working closely with internal and external partners to design and optimize the architecture, with focus on end-to-end user experience and improving sales productivity.

An ideal candidate for this role will be someone who enjoys working in an exciting fast-paced environment, is innovative, technically savvy, a strategic thinker, demonstrates an understanding of the business and can apply functional knowledge and IT architecture principles to identify and evaluate alternative solutions. This individual needs to have experience applying architecture concepts in an agile environment, being able to understand business challenges and recommend best practices, and collaborate across multiple business (divisional/regional) partners, enterprise architecture, and cross-functional teams to meet business needs and deliver value.

Your responsibilities include:
  • Designs & documents flexible, scalable, and robust architecture for the commercial enterprise, with focus on Sales Enablement capabilities (includes revenue management and virtual selling)
  • Able to define the system landscape, to identify gaps between current and desired end-states (capability assessment), and deliver a solution
  • Identifies problem areas (process / technical), recommends solutions, and influences direction
  • Leads across cross-functional teams to ensure data quality, overall end-to-end process, and positive streamlined user experience
  • Serves as the bridge between the functional analysts and technical developers to transform and develop requirements into designs, development approaches, and implementation
  • Reviews & approves design solutions that best meet business needs, with focus on innovation
  • Develops a data strategy and a conceptual data model to meet end user needs
  • Presents architecture options & recommendations including configuration vs. customization
  • Maintains high level of awareness and understanding of existing and emerging (sales enablement) technologies, as well as industry issues, to effectively match them.
  • Aligns Commercial Architecture with Enterprise Architecture direction
What we're looking for: Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in MIS, Computer Science, or related field required
  • 10+ years of combined IT Analyst, Developer, Tech Lead or Architect experience
  • Comprehensive experience with various architectural domains such as business, application, data, infrastructure, and integration
  • Proven knowledge with Sales Enablement technologies (to enable back office and front office)
  • Proven ability to stay aware of current trends and technical advancements, and share learnings
  • Ability to articulate and present different points-of-views on various technologies
  • Experience with Agile delivery practices, preferably in a lead role
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including presentation skills
  • Proven leadership in partnering with external vendors and business partners on projects
  • Ability to lead on-shore/off-shore teams in multiple cross-functional initiatives toward goals
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, self-directed, action-oriented environment
  • Well organized and capable of managing multiple priorities
  • Mentors team members in technology, architecture, and delivery of applications
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in MIS, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
  • Experience with Salesforce, SAP, Model N, Conga, Showpad, Pitcher, and other technologies to enable the sales organization (both back office and front office)
  • Experience in life science or other regulated industry
