Job Summary: Here at Raytheon Missiles & Defense (RMD), we specialize in air and missile defense, large-land, and sea-based radars and systems for managing command, control, and communication. Our Software Products Engineering (SPE) team consists of over 2200 software engineers with a central focus on real-time software development, integration, testing, and validation activities for RMD’s core capabilities. Mission Areas within the RMD business include Advance Technology, Land Warfare and Air Defense, Naval Power, Air Power, and Strategic Missile Defense. This is how we do our part in keeping our war fighters safe. The Software Department is looking for individuals to support in the following areas Woburn, Tewksbury, or Marlborough, MA. Individuals will provide software engineering, integration and test expertise to the naval combat control systems and undersea sensor systems within Raytheon Missiles & Defense. Software gives individuals the opportunity to perform various engineering activities depending on their experience and skill level. These activities include software development, integration, test, modeling and simulation, requirements development, simulation data analysis, and overall systems integration . This position can be a Sophomore, Junior, Senior or Post-Graduate based on the candidate's qualifications and standing as outlined below: (Sophomore Technical Intern)- must have completed 30 credit hours by start of internship

(Junior Technical Intern)- must have completed 60 credit hours of college by start of internship

(Senior Technical Intern)- must have completed 90 credit hours of college by start of internship

(Post-Graduate Technical Intern)- must have an undergraduate degree and be enrolled in a graduate degree program (in degree fields listed in Qualifications You Must Have) by start of internship

Qualifications You Must Have:

Must be at least a Sophomore by the start of summer 2022 in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM)

Experience with C, C or Java

The ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

Qualifications We Value:

Pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Software Engineering

College coursework covering modern software languages (such as C, C, or Java)

1 year or more of calculus, physics and computer science studies that include assembly level programming

ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard. 3.0 cumulative GPA desired

Demonstrated ability to work effectively with coworkers from diverse communities and cultures

Demonstrated ability to work with colleagues who represent a diversity of work and conflict resolution styles
