Information Assurance / Security Specialist (Technical Operations Lead)

Job Description

Seeking highly motivated, highly experienced Senior Systems Engineer / Systems Administrator in support of a dynamic and growing team of TS/SCI operations at Hanscom AFB MA. The right candidate will bring a wide mix of varied but applicable skills, enabling a full spectrum of IT engineering, installation, operations, server and client systems services and support. As well, the best candidate will be able to support fully inspectable program compliance parameters such Risk Management Framework, Certification and Accreditation and SCIF & TS/SCI plans, programs and operations.

Provides proven IT thought leadership, ensures the continued upgrade, expansion, and integration of the Hanscom JWICS SCI architectures and infrastructures. Provides timely coordination and support to the Hanscom JWICS Site Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM) in all matters related to ICD 503 and Risk Management Framework (RMF) to ensure Hanscom JWICS maintains it Authorization to Operate (ATO) and high security posture.

  • Serves as controlled equipment custodian COMSEC, key member of configuration management team site ops, planning, disaster recovery and network encryption
  • Provides leadership and team support for various system security documentation mandated by Intel community for SCI network segments

SKILLS

  • DoD Air Force IA policies and procedures using the guidance within this instruction and applicable specialized IA publications, to include but not limited to DoDI 8510.01, DoD 8570.01-M, AFMAN 33-285, ICD-503.
  • Windows Desktop Operating Systems (Windows 10)
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory
  • Microsoft Office Products (2016-2019 / Office 365)
  • Ability to resolve issues quickly and efficiently
  • Proficient with Computer and Server Hardware
  • Strong Troubleshooting skills
  • Strong willingness to learn, follow and lead when needed
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Strong understanding and adherence to COMSEC, OPSEC & Secret, TS/SCI processes, procedures & requirements
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE

  • 4-year Bachelors Degree, preferably in Information Technology, Computer Science, and equivalent of four to ten years of experience in TS/SCI SCIF program level operations and C&A support
  • 8570 certification required (CompTIA Security +)
  • Top Secret / SCI (in-scope) Level DoD Security Clearance required
