Description The expanding accounting department at our client has an excellent opportunity for an entry-level Accountant. In this position, your responsibilities will include data entry, financial statement review, and Excel spreadsheet creation and manipulation. As part of a dynamic team, you will report to the Accounting Manager and have an opportunity for career growth. Based in North Billerica, Massachusetts, this entry-level Accountant job is a long-term contract / temporary to hire opportunity.Your responsibilitiesReconciliations and month end reports
Ensuring that accounts contained in the general ledger are correct
Aiding in full cycle Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes
Put together monthly journal entries
Investigating and fixing account discrepancies
Requirements - Less than one year of experience is acceptable
Great attention to detail
Strong communication skills and able to receive criticism well
Able to work independently as well as part of a team with flexibility and willingness to learn and to take initiative on variety of tasks and projects
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel (PivotTables, vlookups) is preferred
An AA or BS/BA Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business suggested
Account reconciliation experience
Command of Accounts Receivable (AR)
Strong familiarity with Enter Invoices
Accounts Payable (AP) experience desired
Ability to enter data into various electronic systems while maintaining the integrity and accuracy of the data
