Solutions Architect

Job Description

We are seeking a hands-on Solutions Architect responsible for designing and building enterprise-grade software systems using Microsoft .NET, SQL Server, and Javascript frameworks (C#, MVC, Razor, Angular/2, Durandal, WEB-API). You will be responsible for visualizing, conceptualizing, and documenting web-based applications, REST services, and complex system and database integrations.

As the Solutions Architect, you will be expected to take ownership of development projects, seeing them through end-to-end with minimal supervision. This includes providing technical direction on software designs, generating technical tasks for the team, and making key technical decisions throughout the sprint.

As this is a hands-on role, you will be expected to help code prototypes of your designs and be heavily involved in coding during the development phase.

· Visualize, conceptualize and document application designs and complex systems/database integrations (web, desktop, database and REST services).

· Collaborate with developers, business analysts and project management to convey design concepts.

· Collaborate with database architects to design/build database components to support your designs.

· Code application prototypes and help code technically complex components throughout the development phase.

· Assist in the collection and documentation of user requirements, development of user stories, estimates and work plans.

· Provide technical leadership for team members during the development phase. Lead peer code reviews and provide feedback for other team members.

· Interact and communicate effectively with all levels of staff, senior management and team members.

Qualifications

· Proficient in designing/coding web, desktop, database, and REST services using .NET, SQL Server, and Javascript frameworks (C#, MVC, Razor, Angular/2, Durandal, WEB-API).

· Ability to assume technical leadership and take ownership of projects throughout the development lifecycle.

· Ability to lead JAD sessions with business teams and communicate well with all levels of the organization.

· Ability to make key technical/design decisions without direction.

· Ability to resolve and document complex technical and environmental problems.

· Strong understanding of SQL Server and T-SQL code with the ability to write and maintain SQL stored procedures, functions, and views.

· Knowledge of DevOps best practices, CI/CD methodologies a big plus.

· Experience with AWS/cloud application architecture and design a big plus.
