POSITION SUMMARYThe Network Administrator reports to the Information Systems Security Manager and is responsible for supporting, maintaining and implementing technologies that support the Information Security Program.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Ensures the network provides a high degree of security for the organization and its users.
  • Writes, deletes and audits access-lists, policies for network gear, web filtering policies and routes.
  • Creates and deploys Virtual Local Area Networks (VLANs).
  • Administers Advanced Malware Protection (AMP) utilizing Sourcefire.
  • Administers Network Access Control (NAC) and Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) solutions.
  • Monitors and responds to security alerts in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Patches and reboots network gear during approved maintenance windows.
  • Monitors and troubleshoots network and system issues to support existing technologies.
  • Cables and racks network gear as needed.
  • Researches, prices and implements new technologies to support the information technology program.
  • Participates in on-call rotation for off hours support.
  • Assists team members, interdepartmental staff and clients in a professional and efficient manner.
  • Performs other tasks as may be assigned by manager/supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • 2 years’ experience and is able to demonstrate high proficiency in Cisco, Palo Alto and Juniper Operating Systems.
  • 2 years’ experience and has working knowledge of LAN/WAN design, configuration, implementation and maintenance.
  • 2 years’ experience of TCP/IP networking protocols, VPN configuration and implementation, including remote access and L2L.
  • 2 years’ experience with WAF technologies, web-filtering software and security modules
  • Working knowledge of design, implementation and maintenance of LANs and WANs.
  • Able to function in a highly organized manner while managing time and priorities effectively.
  • Must have a strong understanding of enterprise networks and how decisions or changes affect the enterprise network.
  • Must demonstrate practical problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Knowledgeable of industry best practices.
  • Able to maintain a predictable and consistent full-time work schedule.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS Bachelor’s Degree Preferred or Industry Recognized Security-Related Certification Combined with Experience will be considered
