POSITION SUMMARY:
  • Designing and developing effective data quality frameworks to ensure the accuracy and legitimacy of quality data. The work will include design, analysis, data management, programming, and testing of moderate to complex data extraction routines, report development, and web application development. Our systems are table-driven, requiring an ability to think and code on an abstract level. Furthermore, there are multiple layers of code, including SQL, Java, HTML/JavaScript, Cognos, and Excel.

DETAILED LIST OF JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Research, design, develop, and implement AI solutions for data quality including data mastering
  • Work with stakeholders to understand data quality issues
  • Develop long-term technical solutions to address data quality issues
  • Present and explain data quality standards and best practices to stakeholders
  • Develop data quality validations and rules using programming languages and Data Quality tools
  • Retrieve data from large databases and manage data for analysis
  • Review ETL code and provide critical feedback on issues of data integrity
  • Apply statistical and machine learning techniques to large-scale data
  • Develop and enhance Web application tools related to data mastering solutions
  • Evaluate and document technical work and processes
  • Communicate and present processes and analysis results to stakeholders
  • Work with other teams for the integration of workflows and processes.

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:
  • Experience with Python
  • Experience with SQL
  • Experience with Java
  • Experience performing data extraction and manipulation using programming languages
  • Experience developing web applications including JavaScript
  • Experience with statistical modeling and machine learning
  • Experience handling large volumes of data
  • Experience developing and managing data quality rules and validations
  • Experience with designing and developing data visualization and analytical solutions

QUALIFICATIONS: (Knowledge, Special skill set, Certifications)
  • Knowledge of data warehousing concepts
  • Knowledge of Linux and shell scripting
  • Knowledge of Cloud architecture and networking
  • Comfortable working with a large, multi-terabyte data warehouse
  • Strong mathematical, statistics, and data modeling skills
  • Solid understanding of object-oriented programming
