NTT DATA, Inc. currently seeks a strong leader with data management, architecture, delivery and operations expertise to lead a team of data and BI engineers and support a multi-year roadmap to optimize the current state & build next generation data management ecosystem, for one of NTT DATA's customers. Position requires hybrid experience and expertise of technology, management and service delivery

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Oversee a team of BI & data engineers for delivering data and analytics solutions that enable data through Enterprise Data Warehouse / Data Lake, deliver data extracts to external constituents in a secure manner, and develop insight and action focused analytics, dashboards and scorecards to internal & external users
  • Establish synergetic relationships with customer teams to gain deeper understanding of their business priorities to devise informed insights and recommendations
  • Collaborate, participate & contribute in defining / adjusting data management strategies including migration to the Cloud
  • Work closely with peers & customer teams and influence the build of data products that support data driven culture
  • Organize and or participate in both user centric and technology centric governance councils
  • Foster a culture of continuous learning and nimbleness to rapidly adapt new methodologies, technologies and changing priorities
  • Institute a program-oriented approach for management to identify, prioritize, and deliver the solutions in time and in budget
  • Drive technology solutions that enable and effectively provide insights and actions through best fit tools
  • Participate & contribute in defining / adjusting strategies for consolidation, streamlining, tracking and improving the utilization of existing platforms and solutions
  • Ensure excellence and innovation in implementing enterprise data engineering solutions
  • Collaborate and partner with Operations on software and hardware migrations/upgrades to ensure zero disruption to the business
  • Collaborate with central production support teams to ensure systems and solutions are stable and healthy in production
  • Estimate, Forecast and plan resources to align with demand
  • Identify and drive revenue generating and or margin improvement initiatives
  • Define, manage and evaluate team members on goals and performance metrics
  • Work closely with program managers during all phases of the development lifecycle to ensure solutions are delivered consistently on time and on budget
  • Provide guidance and insight to upper management on on-going development, implementation, and production issues

Minimum Requirements:

  • 15 years' experience in the Information Technology field
  • 10 years of BI, Data and Analytics, including Cloud experience
  • 5 Years Leading Teams and managing an IT Budget
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or related field

Preferred Skills:

  • Preferably experience in an IT Services organization
  • Experience in end to end implementation of an enterprise scale EDW, Data and BI solutions
  • Track record of consolidating, optimizing, operationalizing and governing a multi-tool or multi-system environment
  • Extensive experience in architecture, design, development and maintenance of data management systems/solutions/functions such as - EDW, Data Quality Management, Master Data Management, Data Privacy & Security, Business Intelligence etc.
  • Solid working knowledge in at least one BI platform, relational and non-relational databases in EDW space, data preparation/wrangling tools and SQL
  • Deep knowledge of Azure capabilities especially in the data space, DataOps, Data Virtualization, Lake House architecture etc. Working experience is a plus
  • Extensive experience in technical architecture, design and delivery management
  • Thorough understanding and delivery experience using agile project management methodologies like Scrum and Kanban
  • Evidence of continuing education, such as certifications, a plus
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-vendor environment with multiple priorities that require strong leadership, project management and decision-making capabilities
  • Ability to manage delivery and execute operations by leveraging globally distributed teams
  • Exceptional communication and reporting skills
  • Outstanding leadership skills and ability to delegate responsibilities and influence the change effectively
  • Demonstrated ability to motivate staff and inculcate critical & innovative thinking
  • Forward thinking and strong abilities in relationship management
  • Certifications in data management space
