Position Title: Innovation Acceleration ManagerPosition Location: Quincy, MA

Position Summary:This lead management role for Innovation Acceleration and Scale-up is responsible for leading the team of technical developers for scale-up projects, leading the planning for the portfolio, and providing coordination and project management for POCs and MVPs that may move beyond the innovation process to production, product scale-up or commercialization. The Innovation Acceleration team supports the innovation process from a technical standpoint and develops tools, techniques and best practices for accelerating the work within the Propulsion Lab and the Retail COE as well as work to transition and scale POCs and MVPs from the innovation stage to production. Like all teams within Innovation, this team collaborates across many areas and provides influence through thought leadership, experimental results and best practices. Although Innovation draws from the same principles as Product Development, there are distinct differences. We focus on accelerated experimentation, understanding the depths of problems and associated value-driven solutions, and we iteratively develop and grow POCs up to the MVP.The Propulsion Lab is the technology innovation arm at RBS. Required Qualifications: • Bachelor's Degree in a technical field or non-technical with strong hands-on technical experience• 7-11 years of experience in Innovation, technology teams, startups or other entrepreneurial areas • Minimum 5 years of experience leading / managing others • 7 + years hands-on experience with software development, coding or engineeringPreferred Qualifications: • Retail or Retail Grocery Experience a plus• Experience in Design, Product Management a plus• Previous hands-on experience with software development• Experience with managing and coordinating projects in an agile/RAD environment• Master's degree a plus
