Our team collaborates heavily with our customer in order to deliver the best path to transform our customer's application needs into reality given their unique security requirements. The Lead Cloud Engineer position will guide a research and experimentation team to test out different MLS and Zero Trust (ZT) technologies, tools, and architectures as hosted within an Azure development environment. Additionally, the team will configure an Azure development environment to support application development via a DevSecOps pipeline. The Lead Cloud Engineer will also guide customer discussions on new services and products that the pipeline can offer to incoming projects. Key Duties/Responsibilities:- Guide and recommend innovative approaches on the configuration of an Azure software development environment in an agile sprint cycle structure
- Analyze existing system architecture and recommend secure design changes to the Cloud One Azure environment.
- Conduct market research on ZT tools and MLS alternatives
- Generate design documents, best practice configurations, and test procedures
- Execute testing on MLS and ZT alternatives IAW the developed test plan and criteria
- Provide subject matter expertise on Azure cloud toolsets and best practices.
- Configure and maintain tools within the development environment.
- Bachelors and fourteen (14) years or more experience; Masters and twelve (12) years or more experience; other work experience and certifications considered in lieu of degree requirements
- At least three (3) years of experience in Microsoft Azure environment development and/or engineering
- Experience with automation tools including Ansible and Terraform
- Experience with containerization tools such as Kubernetes
- Able to obtain DoD 8570.01-M IAT Level II Certification within six months of hire date
- Experience with other cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud, OCI)
- AZ-104 or AZ-400 certification
