Floor Covering Measurer - Estimator needed RI area
We are an Floor Installation Company working for the Big Blue Box and looking for a MEASURER / ESTIMATOR
MUST have experience with ALL flooring types. (Carpet, Vinyl (both sheet & plank), Ceramic Tile, Laminate, Hardwood) on a daily/weekly basis.
The Flooring Measurer goes on appointments to customer homes to measure rooms for flooring.
Then create correct floor plans to assist in placing flooring orders for installation.
The Measurer is the eyes for the sales associates.
The measurer:
Schedules some workload/work route
Travels to customer homes to measure for various floor coverings (carpet, vinyl, tile, laminate, hardwood)
Obtain accurate and complete measurements for floor plans
Estimate & calculate all materials needed for installation
KNOWLEDGE and SKILLS REQUIRED:
Minimum of 5 years of daily measuring experience in the Flooring Covering installation industry
Basic math skills
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Ability to work independently with little supervision
Ability to provide excellent customer service with a professional and courteous manner
Must have valid driver's license and reliable transportation
Must be able to pass a criminal background check
