JOB ANNOUNCEMENT
TITLE: Bilingual Brazilian Portuguese Speaking Medical Receptionist
HOURS: Full time
SALARY: $18.39 per hour
LOCATION: Plymouth
DUTIES: Under the supervision of the Site Manager, the Medical Receptionist will perform highly skilled front desk duties within a sexual and reproductive health services team including:
Provide patients with a welcoming reception and phone experience.
Answer and triage all incoming calls for the practice using a multi-line telephone system
Schedule patient appointments according to established protocol
Enter accurate patient demographics, medical, and insurance information into the electronic health record and billing
Re-schedule all patients when necessary
Check voice mail regularly and returns calls including patients requesting to schedule appointments
Assist with checking in/out patients, collect payments for services and issue receipts
Prepare billing claims for submission
Ensure all required patient referrals are received before the patients appointment
Manage patient registration, insurance, and eligibility including scan insurance cards and consent forms and verify the information is complete and accurate
Manage patient charts including filing and scanning Scan and assign faxes/documents to patient chart in the electronic medical record
Contribute to team efforts by assisting other staff as needed to ensure streamed-lined efficient clinic and billing operations
Performs other administrative and clerical duties
Other duties as assigned
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Bilingual Brazilian Portuguese fluent; High school diploma; prior experience providing medical office reception and support; demonstrate excellent customer service skills including a cheerful, professional demeanor, excellent phone manner, and communication skills; demonstrate excellent computer and organizational skills; demonstrate calm, tact and diplomacy.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Medical reception certificate, experience preparing insurance billing claims for submission.
