Database Consultant - MasteryDuties:Systems Engineer StorageParticipate in technical studies and evaluations of business requirements and technological alternatives, and recommends appropriate systems solutions. Provide direction and guidance to other programmers. Responsible for the evaluation and implementation of complex applications with complex subsystems that may affect the entire system or multiple systems applications. Advise on methods to improve scalability. Prepare communications, documentation and conducts classes on new system alternatives. Consult and provide guidance to client and IT personnel. Receive general supervision and is competent to work at the highest technical level of systems consulting while working on own most of the time.TOP 3 Responsibilities for Storage position:
- Subject Matter Expert of NetApp products and Dell/EMC products.
- Be part of a team tasked with moving from one data center to another.
- Work collaboratively across teams.
- 5 years of experience with all aspects of software and hardware acquisition, configuration, provisioning and production support for EMC Centera, NetApp NAS PowerMax and Preferred Job Qualifications:
- 5 years of experience supporting Storage Area Networks (SAN s), EMC PowerMax enterprise storage systems, and NetApp NAS and SAN storage systems required. (They cannot just have NetApp/Nas, Need both NAS AND SAN required)
- Experience with Storage Resource Management (SRM) tools required.
- Experience supporting multi-data center / multi-petabyte primary and recovery storage environments; and with managing data protection technologies such as replication and continuous data protection (CDP) required.
- Experience with all-flash arrays, storage virtualization (hardware and software based), deduplication and encryption technologies required.
- Adept at the business of data storage: effective packaging and tiering of storage services for application and end-user understanding and consumption
- Brocade SAN switch management experience, zoning, alias names and zonesets required
- NetApp Active IQ experience with reporting and performance troubleshooting.
- SRDF experience on PowerMax arrays for snapshot, snapclone and replication required
- Snapmirror experience for snapshot, snapclone and replication required.
- Data Migration experience with NAS and SAN architectures.
- Service Now experience as a ticketing system
- Cloud experience is a plus
