Project Manager - IT - AdvancedDuties:
- Leads the delivery of all aspects project delivery along with the ability to manage a matrixed team of various disciplines.
- Handle complex long-term focused projects involving multiple disciplines or business units.
- Work independently and with management on high visibility, divisional/cross-divisional complex projects.
- Sought as a key resource for resolution of unique or complex technical and/or business problems.
- Drive continuous improvement and efficiencies beyond own scope of responsibility.
- Expected to deliver fast paced complex projects.
- Creating long- and short-term plans, including setting targets for milestones and adhering to deadlines.
- Drive team to effective decision making when needed, depicting multiple options for how to progress with the project (leveraging RAPID decision making model).
- Communicating with executives or the board to keep the project aligned with their goals.
- Work with team to adhere or adjust schedules and targets on the project as needs for the project change.
- Oversees the project planning and implementation of an entire project through budgeting, discipline forecasting, working with suppliers, and planning the project release.
- 8+ years of project management experience
- 2+ years of program management experience
- 2+ years of Agile project delivery experience
- Significant technical or insurance industry background
- Experience with managing supplier delivery and supplier relationships
- Ability to travel as needed to US vendor location (limited travel required)
- Outstanding written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
- Highly organization, collaborative individual
- Comfortable working in ambiguity, capable of establishing and growing functions and teams from the ground up
- An action-oriented, driven, entrepreneurial mindset
