C#/.NET Applications Engineer for Security Systems

Location: Tewksbury, MA

Duration: contracting

Summary:

The Application Developer (C#, .NET, SQL) will design and develop new and modified features of software applications for the Security Systems. He/she will also develop and integrate processes to legacy systems using identified development tools and technologies. The application developer may also create services (web services) called from external applications to integrate with software application.

Designs, develops, documents, tests and debugs applications software and systems that contain logical and mathematical solutions. Collaborates with scientific teams, equipment designers and/or hardware engineers in the planning, design, development, and utilization of product and internal tools software. Ensures software standards are met.

Plans and documents functional modules as part of overall system design.

Qualifications and Experience (Required)

As a Windows-based product platform, the application developer should be knowledgeable in the following:

Microsoft .NET technology;

Microsoft Visual Studio IDE;

network and operating systems interfaces;

Server technologies (ex, Microsoft SQL Server Database, Reporting Services, Analysis Services, and Web servers;

C# / XML Development

Designing, coding, and debugging applications in various languages.

Familiar with GUI development

Responsibilities:

The application developer is expected to play an important role in the modernization and localization of a global AI security the product.

Participates in all aspects of the development and implementation, working with Engineering and Product Line to ensure full understanding of the change implications to current processes.

Implement all aspects of an application design high performance design, coding, caching mechanisms, security, encryption, state management, error logging, debugging, scalability, code reviews, development environment configuration, and testing.

Perform unit level testing on applications.

He or she should have a comprehensive understanding of the implementation methodologies for the technology being utilized in our Windows-based SW product development.

He or she designs and builds product deliverables according to specifications, escalates technical design or specification issues to business analyst/project manager and application development director, and works within a given period to complete coding.

He or she follows good development practices and software development life cycle methodologies throughout product development

Qualifications:

Education:

BS, MS or MSCS in Computer Science or related field.

Min. 5 Years total work experience, preferably with responsibility for successful SW develop as part of a product.

Preferred Skills:

Excellent communication and technical documentation skills a plus

Experience implementing complex algorithms into real time run code

Familiar with SW spiral development process

Image processing experience

C OOP

Scripting languages like Python and Perl

Configuration Management familiarity a plus
