For more information, please visit www.thermofisher.com .Key Duties & Responsibilities:Optical component assembly with thermal and UV cured epoxy and aligned via feedback from Optical spectrum analyzers, power meters and CCD camerasResponsible for processing work orders for the production of optical componentsAdhere to Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements of the job functionAdhere to ISO9000 requirements including ESD, work area cleanliness, maintenance and calibration of equipment and work instruction consistencyTrain new techniciansParticipate in a team stand-up meetings; presenting daily challenges and/or ideasParticipate and lead improvement events (such as Kaizen, 5S, Practical Process Improvement)Maintain a safe working environment, following established 5S proceduresFlexibility to cross train in other areas of the processExperience Requirements:High School Diploma or GED required

The ideal candidate will have at least 1-3 years of relevant experience

Detailed oriented

Computer knowledge a must

Show ability to work with small parts under microscope using tweezers and other small tools

Past experience in the manufacture of opto-electrical devices where light is being controlled by free space optics is helpful

Able to use different equipment such as, optical spectrum analyzer, optical power meter, etc.

Soldering experience a plus
