Job Description

Job summary:

The Financial Systems team is responsible for the implementation of new technology and the support of existing solutions and processes that impact the Finance organization.The team is looking for an individual to work from Epsilon's Wakefield MA office with experience in supporting financial systems administration, reporting and analysis initiatives in a fast-paced environment.

Position is primarily responsible for systems support and maintenance within the finance and accounting departments, driving optimization of existing financial tools. This includes acting as an ambassador of the Finance department to proactively maximize utilization of technology for automation of manual job duties and process improvement, and ensuring that redundancies and/or inefficiencies are minimized.

This position is responsible for learning and understanding the financial processes and methodologies used across the organization in order to recognize business requirements and needs for future projects.

This person would be working closely with our FP&A org, reporting to the Sr. Director, Finance and will provide support in the development, enhancement and maintenance of Financial Systems.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education:
  • Bachelor degree or equivalent experience

Experience:
  • 2-4 years in financial system administration or development, financial reporting or project management
  • General understanding of relational and multi-dimensional database structures and uses
  • Advanced Excel skills, including financial modeling required
  • Experience with incentive compensation plans preferred

Responsibilities:
  • Act as primary business systems support for the Xactly incentive compensation financial system (including incentive compensation plan development/testing and overall system maintenance) and other financial systems as necessary
  • Work directly with individuals across the organization including finance, accounting, internal IT (hardware, software, networking, and DBA's), as well as, with BI/EPM and finance system support teams at the parent company
  • Build and maintain relationships across the company to understand business processes and look for areas of collaboration and integration
  • Work with finance/accounting to provide guidance and facilitate systems changes required to support financial process change initiatives
  • Participate in new system implementations by gathering and documenting processes, reviewing design, testing components, and providing clear and concise communication to the business on project progress
  • Develop and coordinate training of end users and provide users with continued training and guidance on system use and best practices through system documentation and communications
  • Evaluate reporting needs across finance and accounting and recommend improvements
  • Support Financial Systems Manager on other initiatives as they arise
  • Travel required up to 10%

  • Willingness and aptitude to learn new systems and technical skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills - ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with technical business professionals across the organization
  • Knowledge or project management requirements and techniques, project management experience preferred
  • Understanding of accounting, financial planning and analysis terms and processes
