Modis has a direct hire opportunity for a Senior Front End Software Engineer. The Sr. Front End Software Engineer is responsible for software development on a commerce platform to support our company's online strategy/objectives. The individual's knowledge of web technologies and programming languages will be important in developing and supporting complex features. The Web Developer will work closely with Product, UX, and Marketing teams to build customized web solutions to continually improve the performance and expand the capabilities of our website and supporting applications. Responsibilities: • Develop and maintain user interface features and build custom modules within our eCommerce platform • Use programming languages like JavaScript, HTML, CSS to enhance applications performance, speed, and scalability • Coordinate with UI/UX Designers to ensure designs are technically feasible, performant across devices, and complaint with accessibility standards • Coordinate with Product, IT and additional developers to enhance the performance of our front-end website • Apply best practices to our website platform and release processes • Analyze and fix any software risks and problems found on our website • Communicate with backend developers to ensure complete functionality of the web application • Author and maintain technical documentation to foster collaboration with and facilitate onboarding of other developers • Independently manage assigned tasks • Provide technical leadership to our front-end engineering team
Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Software, Information Technology, or related field • 4+ years of experience as a JavaScript Developer or similar role in a technology organization • Complete knowledge of programming languages like JavaScript, HTML, and CSS • Understanding of JavaScript libraries like JavaScript JS, Angular JS, and Bootstrap • Experience working with Atlassian tools, specifically Jira and Confluence • Full life-cycle development experience - with Agile/Scrum framework • Familiar with web development tools like Git, jQuery, and Bootstrap • Experience with RESTful APIs in a microservice architecture environment • Experience building and performance testing high-scale solutions, such as websites that serve millions of requests • Experience working with KIBO platform technologies (Hypr, Arc.js) preferred but not required • Experience working with React.js is preferred but not required • Experience with estimating and project planning preferred • Experience working with AWS services a plus • Experience in the life sciences industry a plus • Strong written and verbal communication skills • Good time management and organizational skills • Ability to work collaboratively and in a fast-paced environment • Strong interpersonal skills - ability to work with people with a variety of skillsets • Willingness to contribute to efforts outside of your primary responsibilities Equal Opportunity Employer/Veterans/DisabledTo read our Candidate Privacy Information Statement, which explains how we will use your information, please navigate to https://www.modis.com/en-candidate-privacyThe Company will consider qualified applicants with arrest and conviction recordsVacancy expired!
