We have a role for a Test Automation Architect to join the Global R&D engineering team in the Marlborough, MA office headquarters to be a member of a team that creates, designs and tests highly complex energy-based (Laser/ RF / HIFU) medical aesthetic devices. The ideal candidate will play a significant role in the technical leadership of our test automation activities and strategy. The candidate is a hands-on technical leader, has very strong domain knowledge in software testing, and a strong passion and appreciation for DevOps to drive people/process/technology cultural changes. Essential Job Functions

  • Responsible for maintaining, building, and implementing Test Automation architecture and development standards
  • Provide technical and process leadership to project teams to plan and execute automated testing
  • Design/ build test automation framework, harnesses, and code libraries to enable the project teams to use and enhance them across successive projects, thereby improving automation development quality, reusability, efficiency, and team productivity
  • Mentor technical team members on automation processes.
  • Effectively communicates verbally and in writing across multiple Global functions and levels of the organization
  • Define and publish key performance metrics for automated tests
  • Responsible for source control configuration and management
  • Responsible for release configuration management
  • Responsible for CI/CD
  • Work with cross functional teams and be familiar with business vision and requirements
  • Organized, on-time, and detailed project management skills including project leadership
  • Demonstrate cross-functional collaboration to ensure product requirements are measurable, testable and meet a high-quality standard for delivering robust products.
  • Required
  • Degree in in Engineering (Computer, Software, Electrical), Computer Science or other related Engineering discipline
  • 10+ years of experience in software testing or development, with increasing levels of responsibility leading to technical leadership
  • 3+ years of experience in building test automation infrastructure (Architecture/Design)
  • 3+ years' experience in implementation of continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD)
  • 5+ years of experience in programming in PowerShell scripts, Python scripts and other scripts as needed to automate processes
  • 3+ years of software development experience in one of the high-level programming languages - C#/C/Java
  • Expert knowledge in test automation tools for
  • desktop apps (must have)
  • embedded (must have)
  • web apps (nice to have)
  • Strong understanding of integration, verification and validation testing techniques, including continuous integration and white-box, black-box, test coverage, reliability, and regression testing
  • Experience in the participation in Software Development Lifecycle phases
