Job Description:

Job Title: Administrative Assistant IIUSA

Responsibilities:
  • Performs administrative and office support activities for multiple supervisors. Assists one or more functional areas within Human Resources.
  • Duties may include fielding phone calls, receiving and directing visitors, typing, filing, and faxing. Skills in word processing, spreadsheet and presentation software required.
  • Makes files on all new personnel, photographing and assigning employee number. Records changes on all employee status as necessary, e.g., change of address, departmental transfers, rate increases, terminations, etc.
  • Verifies payroll changes with computer printout. Enrolls new employees in programs. Processes and records information, such as personal data, compensation, benefits, tax data; attendance, performance reviews or evaluations, and termination date and reason.
  • Processes employment applications; and assisting in other employment activities.
  • Internet research abilities are also important. Staff in this category may also have the title of dept. asst, coordinator or associate. Previous experience within HR department is helpful but not required.
  • Must have exceptional communication skills (written and verbal) as well as excellent organization skills. 5-9 years of experience

  • Years of experience required:5 years administrative assistance experience supporting senior leader. Candidate will be supporting VP of HR 50% of their time.
  • Education/Certifications HS Diploma or GED Equivalent. Some college preferred.
