Summary:

One Holyoke Community Development Corporation is a not-for-profit corporation providing opportunities for low to moderate income people for over 42 years. Our agency develops real estate, manages rental properties, administers federal grants, and engages in a wide range of mission-based activity funded by grants and donations from non-federal sources for the community.

The Fiscal Manager is a full-time position supporting all OneHolyoke CDC’s activities. Finances are managed through QuickBooks on an accrual basis. This is not a supervisory position but is supported by a team of two part-time employees each tasked with specific accounting duties. The team reports to directly to the Finance Director while carrying out all day-to-day operational matters in a small office environment.

Our ideal candidate is an independent person with a strong working knowledge of accounting principles who enjoys being part of a mission driven non-profit team. The candidate must also have a high degree of diplomacy and confidentiality as skill sets, along with very strong communication skills both verbal and written. Previous experience with QuickBooks or nonprofit accounting is a plus.

Essential Functions/ Responsibilities:

Assist in all activities required by the agency’s Fiscal Management Policies and Procedures under the direction of the Finance Director

Ensuring accurate data entry in QuickBooks

Managing accounts receivable and reconciling bank accounts

Assisting with overall grant management

Provide support for audits

Hiring Requirements/Preferences:

BS/BA, preferably in accounting or a related field; 3-5 years of demonstrated finance experience may be substituted for degree.

Proficient working on a computer including knowledge of QuickBooks and MS Office software. Supplementary accounting and property management accounting software is also in use.

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written with a high level of organization and attention to detail.

Knowledge of the Holyoke area and Spanish speaking is a plus. We seek a candidate who embraces our mission and will bring passion and positivity to their work.

Salary Range:

Commiserate with education and/or experience at 35 hours per week
