Looking for an individual to join our team working part-time as in-home instructional support staff for a 22-year-old man on autism spectrum. Multiple positions/hours available. There is also potential for additional hours by covering shifts!
Available hours:
M-F 10a-4p
M, Tu, F 4p-830p
Sat 10a-4p
Ideal candidate will have experience with the following, although extensive training is provided:
-Using iPad/alternative communication methods with an individual with complex communication disorder.
-Sensory integration support
-De-escalation techniques; including physical interventions.
Individual must be mature, patient, punctual, motivated to complete tasks upon arrival and throughout shift and be willing to adapt and evolve in this role.
During a public crisis, this position is considered essential staff. This individual is immuno-compromised; therefore household/program takes extensive measures for sanitation and cleanliness. Staff is expected to do the same as well as being mindful of potential exposure related situations outside of employment.
