Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance department, you will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks to ensure the smooth operation of our facilities. This position requires a strong understanding of mechanical systems, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

- Perform routine maintenance tasks, including but not limited to, plumbing, carpentry, electrical, and HVAC work.

- Troubleshoot and repair equipment and machinery, using problem-solving skills and mechanical knowledge.

- Inspect and maintain building systems, including electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems.

- Read and interpret schematics and blueprints to identify and repair issues with systems and equipment.

- Conduct safety inspections and ensure compliance with safety regulations.

- Provide excellent customer service to residents and guests, responding promptly to maintenance requests and providing clear and concise communication.

- Work with a team to plan and prioritize maintenance tasks, and to coordinate maintenance activities with other departments.

- Utilize an ohmmeter and logic controllers to diagnose and repair electrical issues.

- Keep accurate records of maintenance activities and perform routine inventory management.

- Perform painting and other cosmetic maintenance tasks as needed.

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent required.

- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

- Strong understanding of mechanical systems and experience with facilities maintenance.

- Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces.

- Excellent customer service skills and the ability to work effectively with residents and guests.

- Familiarity with schematics and blueprints.

- Proficiency with an ohmmeter and logic controllers.

- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and to work in a physically demanding environment.

- Experience with supervising a team of maintenance personnel is preferred.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

- Strong organizational and time management skills.

- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities.

- English language proficiency.
