Individual Companion - The United Arc, a leading provider of services for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families in Franklin, Hampshire, Hampden and Worcester Counties of Massachusetts is seeking a person to serve as an Individual Companion for a client in its Adult Services Program located in Greenfield, MA. The Individual Companion would assist our clients to develop and maintain connections in the community and their pursuit of individual interests. Individual Companions would also transport clients and support them with socialization and community involvement. This position would be 10 hours per week and vary based on the needs of the individuals, but would mostly be after 4pm on weekdays and any time on the weekends.
Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED.
1-year of relevant experience.
Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
Acceptable driving record, valid driver's license and access to an automobile that can be used to transport individuals.
Acceptable CORI and fingerprint check required.
