The Western Massachusetts Training Consortium has a full-time position available serving as an Individual and Family Support Advocate at the Salasin Project in Greenfield, MA.
Salasin Center Coordinator and Individual and Family Support Advocate Support individuals and families using a trauma-informed, strength-based, recovery focused home-visiting support and advocacy in the Franklin County area who have experienced interpersonal/domestic violence. Coordinate programs and activities in the Salasin Center. Partner with participants to create and run groups/programs of interest as defined by them. Ensure that the center is a safe and supportive environment that is accessible to a diverse population.
Supervise and provide training, as needed for Child Enrichment Coordinator and volunteers. Offer resource assistance utilizing an empowerment model. Encourage and seek collaboration with existing programs and supports. Community outreach to potential participants involved with other agencies and programs. Maintain and update information bulletin board. Create and share the calendar of the Salasin Center with the participants and community providers.
This is an opportunity to work full-time out of an office in Greenfield with an amazing and dynamic collaborative team. Related Bachelor's level and/or lived experience preferred. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required. Please send a resume and cover letter to this posting.
