Office Assistant / Customer Care / Coordinator for Training Program (Northampton)

Massachusetts, Western massachusetts 00000 Western massachusetts USA

Vacancy expired!

For someone who likes to be busy and proactive, we need part-time assistant for our professional training program in a combination healthcare, education, and movement therapy organization, working with very interesting and varied people training in a field that is both fascinating and exciting, and inspiring and deeply rewarding.

Your primary focus would be “VIP customer care” for our adult students, including managing their paperwork, setting up logistics and fulfilling whatever they need from textbooks to travel or housing to providing information, and responding to problems that come up during their classes. Other backend duties include helping with schedules, planning, development, and outreach. Event and support planning, outreach, and management to maintain student community engagement and success may also be involved. Basically, your job is to make sure trainees feel cared for and are substantively cared for, have a smooth professional experience, and other people on staff including the trainers are able to do their jobs well for the students too.

This means you need to be a people person or at least know how make people feel welcome, understand their needs, and know how to calmly, confidentially, and compassionately manage their concerns and crises. However, it also means you need to be detail oriented, balance all the variables, and be comfortable and efficient using common office software and web apps as well as diving into learning new ones.

This job has a lot of room to grow, including to full-time hours and including to have a creative proactive role in managing or growing many aspect of our educational programs and services. The job is also flexible enough that it can remain part-time and support other student care staff in the future.

If you are proactive, responsible, reliable, can both implement our plans and work independently, follow directions precisely but also be creative and proactive, be a great teammate but also wing-it in the face of chaos, while still making your customers (our students) feel safe and cared for, then you are our ideal candidate! As a bonus, you will earn the appreciation and adoration of some pretty passionate, impressive, caring professional students doing inspiring work that profoundly improves their clients' lives!

We are looking to hire right away. Potential for full-time hours and significant growth based on merit, fit, and performance.
