Job Description

Locus Robotics is seeking an experienced, dynamic Project Manager for our Deployment Team. In this role, you’ll be responsible for all aspects of project management, including developing project plans, working with stakeholders and project resources throughout deployment projects and making critical path decisions during deployments. You will manage multiple projects and team members across diverse geographic locations using project management best practices.

The successful candidate for this role is skilled in formal project management methodologies, but knows when to apply them and when to diverge from them as required. We work with sophisticated, technically proficient 3PL and DC operations, experience with project management in a modern logistics framework is beneficial for this role.

This Deployment Project Manager works with onsite deployment of our order fulfillment optimization solution, and will have a minimum of 50% travel within the continental United States.

Responsibilities:

  • Full project life cycle ownership: Full implementation from initiation to successful deployment.
  • Develop and manage project and resource plans.
  • Project coordination to ensure that all resources are on track with project requirements, deadlines, and schedules.
  • Establishing effective project communication plans and ensuring their execution.
  • Facilitating change requests to ensure that all parties are informed of the impacts on schedule and budget.
  • Preparing status reports by gathering, analyzing and summarizing relevant information.
  • Meeting with project team members to identify and resolve issues.
  • Managing customer satisfaction within deployment period.
  • Conducting post-project evaluation and identifying successful and unsuccessful project elements.

Qualifications

  • You have successfully managed outward-facing project teams involving dedicated and borrowed staff, client resources and outside vendors.
  • Demonstrated success using Waterfall and Agile project management methodologies.
  • Proficiency in developing and maintaining complex project plans in Microsoft Project or related applications.
  • Experience developing resource plans.
  • Exceptional communication skills.
  • A minimum of 50% travel will be required for this role.
  • Bachelor’s degree is required.
