Job Description
Sr. Systems EngineerWilmington, MA (Hybrid and remote possibility)Direct HireImmediate hire for a great company with amazing benefits. Will be responsible for managing requirements traceability and evolution through the system development cycle. Provide weekly status of system development progress with requirements burn down. Work with Senior Staff Engineers to allocate requirements to subsystem level. Evaluate system performance thresholds and provide direction. Work with software and electrical engineers in developing verification test plans and acceptance test plans. Provide input for model development and simulation analysis. Review and interpret customer specification effectively. Identify, analyze and resolve system design weaknesses. Influence the shaping of future products by contributing to the framework (architecture) used across multiple products or systems. Work on complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires an evaluation of intangibles.Required Skills:- Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Computer Science/Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Controls Engineering is required or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
- 8 - 12 years of experience in a systems engineering role (Aerospace or robotics systems engineering preferred)
- Proficiency with office software and productivity tools including Visio
- Experience managing requirements traceability and evolution through the system development cycle
- Experienced providing effective weekly status of system development progress with requirements burn down
- Experience allocated requirements to electrical, GNC, and or software subsystems
- Experience evaluating system performance thresholds, conduct trade studies and provide direction based on analysis
- Developed and managed power budgets
- Familiarity with electronics and systems related to image collection and analysis
- Experience trouble-shooting complex electrical or software systems
- Experience developing systems test plans, procedures, and reports, reviewed and interpreted specifications
- Exposure to Guidance Navigation and Control Systems along with Modeling Simulation & Control and Model-Based Systems Engineering is helpful but not required
- Knowledge of Altium software is preferred
- Strong Python, C, or C programming skills are preferred
- Hands on design/build experience is desired; UAV or R/C aircraft or other lightweight miniature robotic systems
