We have over 65,000 employees and a presence in virtually every country around the world to address some of the most challenging global health issues.Summary/Purpose of PositionThe Manufacturing Coordinator is responsible for leading operators, conducting production operations, and overseeing startup and shut down of manufacturing production lines, while ensuring high quality and manufacturing productivity standards are maintained. The Manufacturing Coordinator will assist the manufacturing supervisor in developing the skills of the employees to maximize efficiency in the department.Essential Duties and Position ResponsibilitiesCoordinate and assign tasks to operators involved in the manufacturing of medical device products
Verify and ensure all assigned personnel follow manufacturing procedures and Quality System requirements and have documented training to the requirements
Maintains accurate records and logs in accordance with GMPs (Good Manufacturing Practices)
Strive continuously to achieve and improve production efficiencies by reducing non-value added activities while ensuring quality requirements are met or exceeded. Make recommendations for manufacturing process improvements and cost savings and contribute to the development and implementation of the lean philosophy and plant goals.
Act as a liaison between production personnel, management, and other departments to ensure production and quality remains a top priority
Coordinate with the supervisor regarding the skill development and training of production personnel
Perform production related calculations to ensure cycle count accuracy and production control and traceability of materials
Train employees on new/revised procedures.
Provide Quality and Safety leadership to the operators
Execute the manufacturing operations of the production line with the operators
Work independently and handle multiple responsibilities simultaneously
The ability to work overtime
Perform other related duties as required
Additional Job Functions:Participate on failure investigation and process improvement teams
Perform other related duties as required
Performing engineering related tasks to assist plant projects
Qualifications, Knowledge, and Skills Required:High School diploma or GED required.
A minimum of 3 years experience in medical device manufacturing or other regulated industry
Manufacturing line leadership experience is preferred
Must have strong communication skills and be fluent in the English language
Computer literacy / basic ability to use Microsoft Office required
Ability to multi-task effectively
Familiarity with using safety equipment, OSHA regulations and MSDS standards
Must be able to sit, stand, move, twist and bend to operate, move and clean equipment and clean room(s)
