BCM consistently delivers optimal customer based integrated systems that control all aspects of building operations such as Video Surveillance, Access Control, Security, HVAC and Lighting.Due to our continued growth, we are currently seeking qualified candidates for our Access Control, Security & Video Surveillance Project Development Engineer position located in our Woburn, MA office.The Project Development Engineer is responsible for taking operational concepts developed through the sales process, and turning them into detailed delivery/execution plans. The goal is to seamlessly transition sales engagements to delivery resources, and to assist with the development of detailed delivery plans.Primary Objectives: Work with sales resources to fully understand account strategies & individual sales opportunities, Ensure that solutions proposed by sales are technically sound & aligned with long-term customer needs and BCM product/support strategies, Work with sales resources to fully understand required project outcomes & client expectations, Work with sales resources & client stakeholders to identify critical paths, important project milestones, and potential obstacles, Work with BCM engineering and support services stakeholders to identify the correct mix of resources needed to successfully execute on every client engagement (aligning strategy with customer expectation), Use information obtained from sales & client interactions to develop comprehensive delivery/execution plans for every client engagement, Remain involved throughout delivery/execution to ensure that required project outcomes & client expectations are met, Develop product and design templates that can be used to establish execution standards.Requirements: Advanced technical knowledge of the platforms that BCM provides & supports (access control systems, IP video systems, intercoms, and intrusion systems, etc.) Knowledge of Office 365 product suite with advanced experience in Excel, Share point, etc. MS Certifications and Visio experience a plus. Theoretical understanding of core IT best practices, technology, and solutions. Any certifications a plus Experience with servers, virtualization, cloud technology, clients/workstations, IoT, etc. Experience with trends in field devices available today: credentials/readers, cameras, etc. Superior focus on customer retention/satisfaction and demonstrated commitment to constant communication with all project stakeholders (both technical and non-technical individuals), whether in-person, via phone or email. Ability to establish and foster strong, respectful collaborative relationships with internal and external resources. Ability multi-task, demonstrate patience, speak and write engineering’s language while balancing client expectations to ensure that ‘scope creep’ is minimized. Active engagement/involvement from project conception to close-out, including the ability to carefully plan, anticipate needs and avoid obstacles. Basic familiarity with NEC and NFPA 72 codes, standards, and practices. Any manufacturer, trade, or vendor certifications should be disclosed.
